My first move in the games was 15.Ne2; the previous stuff was Spassky–Karpov, Linares 1983.
Today I can see that 19.d5 fxe4 20.dxe6 is a much more interesting approach than 19.exf5, which is simply trying to draw, and I am now worse until 37...R7a6, when 38.Rab1 would give a level position again (38...Rxa2 39.Rxb5 Ne4 40.R5b2 Bf8 41.Bf2 Bd6 42.h4). This is good active play, but not the sort of thing I was doing at the time.
My final Rxb4 was sent as a conditional on a postcard with a stereoscopic view of the word “peace”. It looks like he was able to see it, because he sent a draw offer with his conditional moves, which I accepted.
